Dark and White Kitchen...

Contemplating colours for our kitchen cabinets, toss between going for an all white kitchen or one with a little touch of dark colored wood or black stained wood... hmm...

I'm for all white but my other half prefers a little more contrast.

Master Craft...

Tuck away in the basement of Palace Hotel Tokyo is a minimal and well designed shop, specializing in ceramic wares by the company Master Craft. Interiors designed by Akemi Katsuno & Takashi Yagi, founders of Kyoto-based Loved The Life. Well thought out and executed to provide ample display spaces, allowing every piece of ware to stand out like a master piece.

It's a shame I did not get the chance to visit this place when we were there.

Understated Elegance...

A project by Kengo Kuma for a hotel in Kyoto. A beautiful space, minimal yet exudes the feeling of warmth.  It was done as a model room for a hotel. Not sure if it is built. Will definitely stay there on my next visit if it is :)

 Love the bathroom space...

Summer in Tokyo...

Hi all, just got back from Tokyo and Kyoto a few days ago and still trying to recover from the holiday. It was really hot and humid in Japan especially Kyoto. As usual the trip was too short and not enough time to cover all the places we wish to see, do the things we wish to do and eat the food we wish to eat. :)
Already planning my next trip back...
We managed to catch Nara Yoshitomo's latest exhibition at the Yokohoma Musuem and found our way to D+Department which was a nice way to end our trip.
