Wire Sculpture...

These lovely wire sculpture by japanese artist Masao Seki are really light and dainty but definitely a heavy weight in the looks department.
Hope to get a few when I'm in Tokyo this summer.

Apartment Love...

Loving this aparment, found via design attractor's blog.
Scandinavian, industrial designers furnishing their aparment with just the right mix of mid century scandinavian pieces and wonderful use of art work and colourful accessory to eccentuate the spaces.

Bali high...

Went and back... too fast, too short... that's how i would describe our Bali trip.
Last went to Bali about 6 years ago, so much has changed. Very commercialise now. Especially Ubud and Seminyak area. Prefer the old Bali. Traffic is pretty ridiculous too. Kinda like a mini Jakarta now.
Best thing we did was to hire a driver to drive us around. (pleasant guy name Putu). With JW in tow it was not easy but we survived, even managed to squeeze in a few art galleries and hotel hopping.
Went to see UMA in Ubud and UMA Sapna in Seminyak. Visited Kendra Gallery Gaya Gallery and BIASA artspace. We even managed to see a Chagall and Gauguin
Wished we covered more. But hey it was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. And relaxed we did.
Stayed at Alila Villas Uluwatu. Beautiful Site, well designed hotel but unfortunately service was not as we expected from an Alila hotel...
All in all, a good break and a well deserved holiday. I think JW enjoyed it the most.

Art in Space...

To appreciate a beautiful piece of art you need for it to be in its spatial context too...

For arts sake...
