Gourmet Tea...

A smart, functional and colourful box by Brazilian designer Alan Chu for
The Gourmet Tea in Sao Paulo.
His second project for the The Gourmet Tea company, well thought of and cleverly executed, with purple sliding counter to reveal a 'L' shape counter and work spaces behind for beverage preparation. While doors on wheels are opened to reveal storage and display spaces for retail and merchandise display.

Filled Weekend

Hi all! Happy Monday.

Was a really packed and fruitful weekend. Started with me cooking for hubby last Friday night after a really long while. Made a simple salad and squid ink pasta with tomato sauce, basil and cheese. Result?
Got the thumbs up!

On Saturday, with hubby and JW in tow, we headed for brunch in Bangsar at this newly opened Australian bistro, Antipodean. Recommended by sis-in-law as the coffee came highly rated by her.
They have their own roasting machine and they use Merdaka coffee beans from Indonesia.
This is their first shop in Kuala Lumpur after a successful run in Indonesia.

I had their Ploughman's open sandwich while hubby opted for the big breakfast.

They even do a little art work for you on your coffee...
my lovely latte

They have a wide selection of sweets and dessert as well... will definitely be heading back for a taste.
You can read more about them at antipodeancoffee.com

Sunday morning, hubby packed us all up early and we headed to Port Dickson for some Raptor watching. Every year the raptors fly by Tanjung Tuan Resort as it is the first land the birds see on their path of migration back to the Northern Hemisphere, back to countries such as Japan and Russia. Pretty amazing huh?
As usual JW was all decked up for the event.

hey JW you are suppose to be looking up!

On our stopover back to KL along the highway, ate this beautifully banana leaf wrapped rice cooked with coconut milk, served with hard boiled eggs, roasted peanuts and "sambal".
A local cuisine better known as "nasi lemak". Simple and delicious.

Love the way they wrap the rice...

Hope u had a filling weekend like me?

Eye-pad for foodie

Eye-Pad shaped flour noodle in PJ old town.
Individually rolled flour balls tugged with index finger and thumb and stretched with both hands.
Delicious and light broth topped with crispy anchovies, sliced mushrooms, egg, minced pork and dried shallots... Yummy!
Definitely for the diserning local folks!
